We are seeking an experienced .NET Developer for a 12-month daily rate contract based in Dublin City Centre. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to contribute to impactful projects in a collaborative and innovative environment. The .NET Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and implementing software components within an Agile Scrum framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and implement software components according to project requirements.
  • Collaborate with an Agile Scrum team to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Analyze functional and non-functional requirements and prepare technical specifications.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, identify solutions, and resolve issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system bugs to ensure smooth functionality.
  • Adhere to and improve Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) standards.
  • Take ownership of tasks, ensuring on-time delivery within budget.

Essential Skills:

  • .NET Development: Proficiency in .NET (Versions 4.0 and above).
  • Microservices Architecture: Experience designing and building microservices.
  • SQL Server: Strong experience with SQL Server database development.
  • Frontend Development: Skills in React, Bootstrap, JavaScript, and HTML5.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
  • Knowledge of the pensions sector.
  • Familiarity with calling and consuming REST services.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, Subversion, and code quality tools.
  • Mobile application deployment experience.
  • Cloud-based testing and PowerShell scripting.

General Experience & Skills:

  • At least 5+ years of relevant IT application development experience.
  • Experience in the pensions or financial sector is ideal.
  • Proven ability to design and implement solutions beyond development tasks.
  • Strong understanding of Agile principles and Scrum ceremonies.
  • Solid knowledge of database structures and concepts.
  • Multi-skilled and capable of contributing across different phases of the SDLC.
